01 — Overview
What is HoodShort?
HoodShort is a memecoin scanning and shorting platform on Robinhood Chain (chain 4663). It combines a real-time scanner, live perp market verification, and one-click short execution — all inside a game HUD interface.
The platform detects memecoins that are exploding in momentum, volume, volatility, and holder concentration. It then verifies whether those tokens have an eligible perp market (Lighter or Arcus) or are available via the PONS vault, and lets you execute the trade in one click.
The platform is designed for memecoin traders who want to chase momentum by shorting the hottest tokens — not a long-term investment tool. It is a hunting tool, not a portfolio.
02 — Getting Started
Accessing the platform
Open https://your-domain.com in a modern browser. The homepage displays the memecoin scanner with the market heat map. No registration or installation required — everything works in the browser.
The main screen
The interface is divided into several zones:
- Navigation — top bar with logo, SCAN / TRADE / POSITIONS / DOCS buttons, and LIVE status.
- Hero scanner — animated radar, market score, best find.
- SEARCH HUD — filter by PONS, HOT, 70+, 85+, SHORTABLE.
- Hot Memecoins — cards of trending tokens with score, price, volume.
- TRADE HUD & RISK — when you select a token, the trading panel appears.
Connecting your wallet
To trade in real mode (perp or vault), you need a wallet compatible with Robinhood Chain. Click the connect button in the top right. A recent wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, etc.) configured on network 4663 is required. Demo mode works without a wallet.
Demo mode vs real mode
Without a wallet connected, or by selecting "Demo" in the Trade HUD, you can practice with simulated positions stored locally. Real positions require a wallet connection and on-chain transactions.
03 — Platform
The platform is organized into several functional areas:
Search HUD + Hot Memecoins
The main scanner displays two lists: PONS (tokens graduated on Uniswap v4) and Hot Memecoins (trending tokens). Tokens are ranked by a composite score based on momentum, volume, volatility, and concentration.
Click a token to select it — the Trade HUD and Risk Guard appear at the bottom of the page to configure and open the short.
Perp Trade & Vault
The Trade HUD is the central panel for opening a short. It offers two modes depending on the selected token:
In perp mode, you select a market (Lighter or Arcus), set collateral (USDC), leverage (1–5x), max slippage, and stop-loss. The system runs a live verification before allowing execution. In vault mode, you deposit ETH as collateral on the PonsShortVault.
The ScoreBadge shows the token score (EXTREME, HOT, WARM, NEUTRAL, COLD) and the ShortabilityBadge indicates if the token is shortable — green for shortable, orange/red for issues detected.
Risk Guard
The Risk Guard is a protection module that evaluates the risk of each position before execution. It analyzes several on-chain and scanner signals: liquidation price, liquidation distance, max safe leverage, warnings about volatility/holder concentration/liquidity, and a status: SAFE, ELEVATED, CRITICAL, or BLOCKED.
Verify-Order in real time
Before each execution, the system sends a verification order to the perp markets (Arcus / Lighter). This check controls: price validity, liquidity/slippage, oracle freshness, leverage & margin, and market risk. If any check fails, execution is blocked with an explicit message. This is the last protection barrier before the on-chain transaction.
Battle Log — Positions
The POSITIONS — BATTLE LOG section displays the history of all your perp positions. It shows for each: token, venue (Arcus or Lighter), side (SHORT), entry price, current mark price, size, leverage, liquidation price, live PnL, and status (OPEN, LIQUIDATED, or CLOSED). Positions are stored locally in the browser. PnL is recalculated on every price tick.
04 — How It Works
The hunting flow is designed as a 4-step journey, from discovery to execution:
The site continuously scans memecoins on Robinhood Chain. Each token receives a score based on momentum (5m/15m/1h/24h changes), volume acceleration, volatility, liquidity, and holder concentration.
When you select a token, the system checks if there is an active perp market on Arcus or Lighter. It retrieves the mark price, funding rate, open interest, and spread.
The Risk Guard evaluates position risk. Then the verify-order performs a live validation with the perp market. Both must pass before execution.
Once validated, you open the short. Funding accrues, PnL updates in real time. You can track, adjust, or close your position from the Battle Log.
05 — Trading & Positions
Here is how position opening, collateral, leverage, liquidation, stop-loss, and closing work.
Opening a position
To open a short, select a token on the scanner, then configure your trade in the Trade HUD: collateral (USDC in perp mode, ETH in vault mode), leverage (1–5x), stop-loss, and max slippage. The site automatically calculates position size (collateral × leverage), estimated liquidation price, and max risk. The SHORT button is only active when both the Risk Guard and verify-order are validated.
Leverage & liquidation
Leverage amplifies both gains and losses. In a short, if the token price rises, your position loses value. Liquidation occurs when the loss approaches the collateral.
The higher the leverage, the closer the liquidation. The Risk Guard shows the liquidation price and distance percentage for each position.
Stop-loss & take-profit
The stop-loss is an automatic order that closes your short if the price reaches a certain level. It is your primary protection against adverse moves. In perp mode, you set the stop-loss as a percentage above the entry price. The Risk Guard verifies that the stop-loss is placed between the entry price and the liquidation price. A stop-loss that is too wide or poorly placed blocks the position.
The take-profit (available in demo mode) lets you set a target price at which the position closes automatically to secure gains.
Closing a position
To close a position, you have two options: from the Trade HUD — the "Sell your short" panel shows your open position with current PnL and lets you close on-chain. From the Battle Log — the Positions section displays all positions with a "Close" button on each.
Closing a real perp short triggers an on-chain transaction via the connected wallet. PnL is calculated from the difference between entry and close price. For DLMM positions, on-chain NAV is used.

06 — Vaults
PONS Vaults
What is the PONS vault?
The PONS Vault is a smart contract (PonsShortVault.sol) deployed on Robinhood Chain (4663). It allows opening a synthetic short in real time without needing a listed perp market on Arcus or Lighter.
You deposit ETH as collateral, which is locked in the vault. The vault calculates your PnL in real time based on the token price. It is a synthetic short — you never actually sell the token, but you profit from its decline.
When is it available?
The vault mode appears automatically in the Trade HUD when you select a graduated PONS token (graduated on Uniswap v4). If no perp is available for that token or the perp is not shortable, the site automatically switches to vault mode.
How to open a vault position
- Select a graduated PONS token on the scanner
- The Trade HUD automatically switches to VAULT PONS mode
- Enter the ETH amount as collateral
- Choose leverage (1x–5x)
- Set stop-loss percentage
- Verify the Risk Guard has passed
- Connect your wallet and click SHORT VAULT
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet
Status & displayed info
- ETH Collateral — deposited amount
- Size — position value (collateral × leverage)
- Entry price — entry price
- Liq price — estimated liquidation price
- Funding — accrues in real time
- PnL — profit/loss in real time

08 — Security & Risks
Important reminder
A token can rise or fall 100% in minutes. Shorting memecoins is a high-risk activity that can result in total loss of your collateral. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.
Main risks
- Liquidation — if the price rises instead of falling, your position can be liquidated and you lose all your collateral.
- Extreme volatility — memecoins can move unpredictably, making stop-losses ineffective under extreme conditions.
- Rug pull — some tokens may be scams. The Risk Guard checks holder concentration to detect this risk, but cannot guarantee the absence of fraud.
- Funding fees — in a short position, funding fees accumulate as long as the position is open.
- Slippage — in low-liquidity markets, actual execution may differ from the expected price.
- Smart contract risk — vaults and perps are smart contracts that may contain vulnerabilities.
Best practices
- Always use a stop-loss to limit your losses.
- Do not exceed a leverage level you can afford to lose.
- Monitor holder concentration — a TOP10 above 75% indicates high rug risk.
- Check liquidity — a position too large relative to available liquidity increases slippage.
- Use demo mode to practice before risking real funds.
- Only trade what you understand — the scanner score is not an investment recommendation.
- Keep your wallet secure and never share your private keys.
